There's certainly a carelessness and sense of freedom I observed while living Southern California. It's as though time stops, people don't age, and every day it's another sunny day. I have been missing that lately. There's a buzz and the city life that surrounds San Francisco but sometimes I feel as though it's not for me. In remembrance of my carefree days I leave you with these sunset images.{photos courtesy of paperchasing, sandy honig flickr, tumblrphotographyxoxo, and reblog}

In love with this song. Not so much the video. It's like a bad 90's trip to the desert on acid. In fact, this video's so awful it's practically awesome.

Sydney's fashion week came and went and I've found some great images from our friends down unda! Can I just say that I've always been a stripes gal? No matter which way, shape or form, I've always loved the contrast + symmetry. I remember growing up my mom had this gold chevron ring I'd always steal from her jewelry box. It never really fit any of my fingers so I'd wear it on one and once it kept falling off that finger I'd switch it to the next. It's refreshing to see these trends come back into play. Also, courtesy of my dear friend Lisa and her fabulous American Apparel clutch I've posted this oversized clutch. L-O-V-I-N-G I-T! {photos courtesy of vogue}
flirty.30's.
Regardless of whether or not you love the circus or starring up at Rob Pattinson on the big screen...you ABSOLUTELY must go see Water for Elephants for the fashion. First and foremost can we just have a moment to talk about how iconic the 30's were to our fashion empire? Talk about silk galore, rompers, and bejeweled everything. Why was I born in the wrong era? Jacqueline West was the costume designer on set who did a fabulous job of capturing the sparkle and yet darkness of life in the 30's. And before I get hounded -- yes I did read the book. But for the first time ever I felt the movie expressed what words could not. A++++. {photos courtesy of vogue}
feather.wear.
So what do we really think of wearing a bird in our hair? I'm still a bit blind sided by the whole thing and I'm not so willing to accept. I get it -- SJP wears it in SATC and the whole world goes bananas. But entwining our locks with feathers? How long does it stay in there? Showering? How does that go over? I'm more of a classy pin in the bird for a few hours and take it out kind of gal. Please see below. On a side note if I'm going to wear bird in my hair it's going to be colorful. I'm not feeding into this indie I'm a Coachella bum that doesn't shower. {photos courtesy of thebeautydepartment.com}
